Winsko Leads Coaldale to 25-0 Victory
(Reading Eagle, October 20, 1963)

Bob Winsko scored three first-half touchdowns today to lead Coaldale High to its fifth straight win, a 25-0 conquest of Nesquehoning.

Winsko tallied on a 35-yard end run in the first quarter, and on a 36-yard pass play from George Hoffman and on a one-yard thrust in the second quarter. Winsko caught the TD pass on the 20.

The TD drives covered 57, 56 and 43 yards respectively.

John Parfitt's successful kick after the third touchdown gave Coaldale a 19-0 halftime edge. The Tigers scored again in the fourth quarter on Tom Terry's one-yard rush.

Coaldale had the ball at the two shortly before Terry’s score, but lost back to the 17 on a penalty and then lost the ball on a fumble. But Nesquehoning fumbled the ball right back to the Tigers, who also made good use of interceptions today.

Nesquehoning never threatened.

Coaldale is now 5-1 in the conference and 6-1 overall. Nesquehoning is 2-3 in the conference and 4-3 on the season.
