Ronald Yurchak

Ronald Yurchak, 82, of Tamaqua, entered into eternal rest Monday, July 16, 2018, in the Hometown Nursing and Rehab Center. He was the husband of Marie (Lorchak) Yurchak. They celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary in August of last year.

Born in Ashland, he was a son of the late Andrew and Julia (Shaker) Yurchak.

He was employed as a printer for many newspaper companies prior to working for the Standard Speaker until his retirement.

He was a member of the National Guard.

He was a member of St. Mary's Russian Orthodox Church, Coaldale, where he was a member of the church council and church choir.

He was also a member of Coaldale Russian Club. Ronald loved helping out in his community. He was a volunteer at the Tamaqua Meals on Wheels for over 20 years.

Surviving, along with his wife, are sons Ronald Jr. of Coaldale and Gregory of Tamaqua; brothers Andrew Jr. of Hampton, NY and Sergei, and his wife Joanne (Yamas), of Media, PA; and several nieces and nephews.

Service: A funeral service will be held Friday, July 20, 2018 at 11 a.m. in St. Mary's Russian Orthodox Church, 217 First St., Coaldale, with the Very Rev. James Weremedic officiating. Interment will be held in the parish cemetery, Summit Hill. Call Friday 9:30 to 11 a.m. in the church. Donations will be accepted to the church. The Joseph S.
