Mrs. Nancy M.(Hollywood) Gould, 92, of East Ruddle Street, Coaldale, died Monday, Sept. 29, in the St. Luke's Miners Memorial Medical Hospital, Coaldale. She was the widow of Clarence "Babe" Gould, who passed away Feb. 25, 1993. She had been a fourth and fifth grade teacher at the former St. Joseph Elementary School, Summit Hill, for 17 years. Born in Coaldale, she was a daughter of the late Dan "Nick" and the late Sarah (Morrell) Hollywood. She was a member of St. John XXIII Parish, SS. Peter & Paul R.C.C., Tamaqua. The deceased was a graduate of the former Coaldale High School and East Stroudsburg Teachers' College. She was a member of the Panther Valley Golden Agers. She was an avid quilter and enjoyed crocheting and knitting. Surviving are two sons, Daniel J., and his wife, Carol, of Schnecksville, and Richard G., and his wife, Karen, of Summit Hill; seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by two sons, James B. and Thomas J.; four brothers, James, John, Joseph and Daniel; and a sister, Marie Balazovich. Service: Memorial Mass 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 3, SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Parish of St. John XXIII, 307 Pine St., Tamaqua, with the Rev. Francis Baransky officiating. Interment, St. Joseph Cemetery, Bloomingdale, Summit Hill.
