Susan Fisher

Mrs. Susan (Baranovich) Fisher, 89, of West Bertsch Street, Lansford, died Friday, June 4, in the Mahoning Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Mahoning Township, where she had resided for the past 18 months. She was the widow of Harvey B. Fisher, who died Jan. 4, 2007.

She worked for the former Kiddie Kloes, Lansford.

Born in Coaldale, she was a daughter of the late Matthew and Elizabeth (Lyssey) Baranovich.

She was a member of St. John Slovak Lutheran Church, Lansford, where she was a member of the Ladies Aide Association and the Quilters.

The deceased was a 1939 graduate of the former Coaldale High School.

Surviving are a daughter, Linda E. Fisher, with whom she resided; a sister, Olga Kuzma of Tamaqua; and nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Matthew and John; and two sisters, Anna Valuck and Mildred.

Service: Funeral service 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 8, St. John Slovak Lutheran Church, Lansford, with the Rev. Marjorie Keiter officiating. Interment, GAR Cemetery, Summit Hill.
