Emil F. Salvador, 81, of Lehigh St., Tamaqua, died Friday, July 24, 2009, in Coaldale.Born in Coaldale, he was a son of the late Attilio and Anna F. (Surdak) Salvador.He was an inspector for the Pennsylvania Railroad retiring after 39 years.He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and the U.S. Army during the Korean War.He was a 1945 graduate of the former Coaldale High School.He was a member of St. Jerome's Catholic Church, Tamaqua.He was a member of the Quakake American Legion Post, the former Moose and had been active in the Tamaqua Little League Association. He was an avid sports fan.Surviving is a sister, Rose Marie Salvador, Harrisburg.He was preceded in death by a brother, Edward Salvador.Service: Graveside service at the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery at a later date.The Zizelmann-Roche Funeral Home, 500 E.
